A new wildfire has been spotted east of Lund on the mainland coast.
According to the BC Wildfire Service, it’s approximately two hectares and out of control. The map places it east of Crowther Road, north of Larson’s Landing.
The smoke is visible from Campbell River.
The BC Wildfire Service says it’s human-caused, and is expected to spread. No information is available yet on the service’s plan of attack to extinguish the fire.
