A local 62-year-old man and 58-year-old woman were arrested last month when police executed a search warrant in the 500 block of South Alder Street.
On July 9, Campbell River RCMP’s Street Crime unit along with general duty, major crime, and police dog services, investigated the home. They seized more than $77,000 in cash, along with 225 grams of a substance suspected to be cocaine, 10 grams of suspected crack cocaine, and 4.5 kilograms of marijuana.
“This is another excellent example of how our investigators are working to remove illicit drugs from the street and hold traffickers accountable,” said RCMP spokesperson Const. Maury Tyre in a statement.
The man and woman were arrested and released; their first court appearance is October 5.
