A former teacher at the Campbell River Christian School will be sentenced later this year for possession of child pornography.
Jeffrey Falk pled guilty to one charge of possession on March 23, the BC Prosecution Service has confirmed. His first sentencing hearing is set for May 25.
Police began investigating Falk in May 2025, following information received from the National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children. Campbell River RCMP executed a search warrant on a local residence on June 25, 2025, and seized what they describe as a “substantial collection” of child pornography including images and videos.
“The presence of child pornography on the internet is prevalent and deeply concerning,” said Const. Maury Tyre in an RCMP press release. “Investigations into child pornography on the internet are extremely labour intensive and time consuming and it is a success that we were able to build the case that was necessary to bring this matter before the courts.”
Falk was a teacher and the athletic director at Campbell River Christian School. His employment was terminated in July 2025, the same day the school was informed about the charges. Parents and school staff were informed about the charges and his termination in August 2025, before the start of the current school year.
