Canadian Rangers set up observation posts near Gold River

Earlier this month, members of the 4th Canadian Ranger Patrol Group were in Gold River to increase coastal security.

Exercise Gold River 2 was conducted by 4 CRPG A Company from March 5-9 in the region around Gold River.

“Rangers established observation posts throughout the Gold River area to monitor increased recreational boat activity, helping enhance safety and situational awareness on the water,” says a statement from the Rangers. “Operating in field conditions and coordinating across land and marine teams, the exercise demonstrated strong teamwork, preparedness, and commitment to supporting our partners and protecting the community.”

The observation posts will be used to support the Royal Canadian Navy.
