Earthquake rumbles region from head of Knight Inlet

A 4.1 magnitude earthquake was detected last night at the head of Knight Inlet, just 111 kilometres north of Campbell River.

The US Geological Survey reports the quake measured at magnitude 4.1 and was detected at a depth of about 10 kilometres, at 10:45 pm Thursday night.

So far, there are no reports of any damage from the event; no warnings have been issued and none are expected.
