A Campbell River hotel is now in the same prestigious category as some of Vancouver’s finest and fanciest offerings.
The Naturally Pacific Resort on Petersen Road has earned the rank of four diamonds from the American Automobile Association. It’s one of the highest ranks the AAA can bestow on a hotel and puts the resort on the same footing as Vancouver’s internationally renowned Fairmont, Hyatt Regency, and Pan Pacific hotels.
The hotel announced in September last year it had received the designation, which is awarded after an anonymous evaluation of the hotel and its services by the AAA. This week, the AAA congratulated the hotel, describing it as a “boutique hotel is tucked between ocean views and mountain peaks, showcasing the natural beauty of the area. Naturally Pacific features a luxury spa, upscale restaurant, and 18-hole golf course with a virtual driving range and lounge.”
In a social media post, the AAA congratulated the Campbell River team, and Mayor Kermit Dahl also offered his congratulations.
Dahl said Naturally Pacific is a “beautiful facility we are fortunate to have located in Campbell River attracting people to visit our beautiful area and see all we have to offer.”
The AAA summarizes a four-diamond destination as featuring “upscale style and amenities with the right touch of service” that’s great for a romantic getaway. A four-diamond restaurant, also at Naturally Pacific, features “distinctive fine dining, well-serviced amid upscale ambience.”
The resort is built next to the Campbell River Golf Club and has become a tourism destination since its grand opening in 2024.
